Welcome to Curiowitty ("Curiowitty", "we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Curiowitty website, apps and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Curiowitty creates personalized, AI-generated children's storybooks: you upload a photo of your child, we generate a cartoon character based on it, and we produce illustrated stories featuring that character, including narration, translations and downloadable files.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and a parent or legal guardian of (or have the consent of the parent or legal guardian for) any child whose photo you upload.
You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Accounts require a verified email address.

3. Your content and permissions

You retain all rights to the photos you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process a photo solely to create the cartoon character; the original photo is deleted promptly after processing and is not stored or used to train models.
You must only upload photos you have the right to use. Do not upload photos of children who are not in your care without their guardian's consent.
Generated stories and artwork for your heroes are yours to download, print and share for personal, non-commercial use.

4. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to generate unlawful, sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise inappropriate content. Our systems enforce content safety rules and we may suspend accounts that attempt to bypass them.
Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload or interfere with the Service.

5. Purchases, subscriptions and billing

Story packs are one-time purchases of story credits; credits do not expire.
Subscriptions provide a daily story allowance and renew automatically (monthly or annually) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period.
Payments are processed by our payment provider (Paddle), who acts as merchant of record. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice; changes never affect an already-paid period.
Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.

6. AI-generated content

Stories and illustrations are generated by AI. While we work hard on quality and likeness, results can vary and occasional imperfections are possible. If a generated hero does not resemble your child, you may recreate it or contact us — see the Refund Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, themes and template artwork, is owned by Curiowitty and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the Service other than the limited right to use it.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time; doing so removes your heroes, stories and generated files. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Curiowitty is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
